During the week of April 7-11, our theme was Kk is for Kangaroo. I especially love this theme, because I lived in Australia for one year, while doing an exchange program through my University. I like talking about the different animals - marsupials in particular. The children enjoyed books on kangaroos and other animals found in the zoo. We also pretended to be kangaroos. For art, I showed the children the aboriginal art, which consists of a lot of dots. We used a Q-tip to put dots on our kangaroo cut-out.
