Kk is for Kite

This week was perfect kite flying weather!  I plan my lessons in the beginning of the year, so the fact that our theme was "Kk is for Kite" and it was windy was perfect!

I didn't have any kites to fly and it wouldn't be a good idea anyway, since there are trees all around my property, so we played with a parachute instead.  Every class was different, but in each class, the children played with the wind.  In one class, the wind kept changing directions, so we had to figure it out and turn our parachute, so that it could float in the wind.

Our art project was to glue tissue squares onto a plastic diamond.  That diamond was glued in between two decorative kite frames.  Next week, we'll finish our project by adding ribbons to the tail.

We had four birthdays this week!!! (which means there are a lot of photos).

Next week, will be Jj is for Jungles.

Enjoy the photos!

It was so windy that my dark blue sign was ripped down.
