First we looked at the cows up close as they ate hay. The tour guide explained how many cows she had, what they eat, what pens the different cows are in, and how many get milked.
Next, we saw the baby cows in their little pens.
Third, we got to feed the "teen-age" cows some hay.
Fourth, we watched the tour guide feed a baby cow a bottle of milk. The last few times I have been on this tour, the children got to feed the calf. I asked her about that and she said that it was too big of a group.
Fifth, we saw the milking room where they milk the cows. She explained that the cows get their grains, which is like "dessert" for them, while they are being milked by the machines. The children got to play with the suction parts that attach to the udders.
Sixth, we saw the pasteurization and bottling room.
Seventh, we got to enjoy chocolate cookies and the most delicious chocolate milk on the planet!
Finally, we looked at their other animals, fed them food, and took a group photo.
