Ee is for Earth

In the week of March 3-7, 2014, our theme was Ee is for Earth.  Even though earth day isn't technically celebrated/talked about until April, we talked about our earth.  The book we read talked about taking care of our planet by recycling, reusing, and reducing trash.  We also looked at our new globe and where we are on the planet compared to other countries.

For art, we did a very special craft.  I took Snapple bottles and cleaned them to use as a reusable vase.  The children decorated their "vase" with tissue papers of many different colors.  This project took a few days to complete and they look gorgeous!  The children also made flowers that will be folded up and put on chenille stems to go in the vases.  The vases and flowers will come home after spring break.
