Hh is for Homes

This week we talked about homes and the letter Hh.  I asked the children what kind of home a bird, bat, bear, bee, and people live in.  In some classes, the children talked about what their homes look like.

Here is the K-Prep class forming the capital H with wiki sticks.  They also trace the letter on sandpaper and then practice writing it on their worksheet.

For art, the K-Prep class built a bird feeder with popsicle sticks and glue.  They had to learn how to form the criss cross pattern - much like how you build a house with Lincoln Logs.

Here is one of the centers: playing with the doll tree house.

Another center is to build transparent blocks on the overhead projector.

Here is the Preschool class hearing and learning to recite the Nursery Rhymes along with the felt board.

Here's the Preschool class exploring with watercolors again.

We also learned about the number 8 and the color black.
