K-Prep Field Trip to the Bookstore!

We were originally supposed to have K-Prep in the park.  We were going to sing songs, listen to a Thanksgiving story, collect fallen leaves and natural things, use the natural items for our art projects, have snack, play on the playground equipment, and review our academics.  Then we were going to all head up to the library.  Well, those plans got flushed away in the rain this week.  Instead, we did most our preschool activities inside of our little preschool.  I collected some natural things from the park we were going to go to with big old trees.  We used the leaves that dropped from the trees behind the preschool in our art projects.  After the little bit of preschool, we then headed over to the little library close to the preschool.  However, the library was closed at 11 a.m. on Friday!  I failed to double check the opening time :(.  One of the parents came up with the brilliant idea of going over the the local major book store, instead :).  We lucked out - there was a special event going on that day!!  There was face painting, make your own book mark, color a page like the book - If You Give Your Mouse a Cookie, story time, and Lego races.  The wonderful staff actually made a new story time that wasn't scheduled, because there were so many of us.  For that wonderful action, I'll plug the business - Barnes and Noble...Thank you!

Here are the photos of the library bookstore field trip (the photos of the class time is in the blog called "Thanksgiving and Week of Review"):

Although we didn't get to go to the library, my daughter calls the book I bought at the bookstore: "A book from the library".
