Martin Luther King Jr. and Review Week 2014

From what I heard from your children, all of you had a nice break.  We took the time in both classes to have the children share what they did over the winter break and what they got for Christmas.

The first week back, we talked about Martin Luther King Jr., reviewed what we learned in the past, and reacquainted ourselves with each other by playing with the kitchen, dolls, and doll house.  We played house and pretended to be a family.

We also picked a prize if our incentive chart was filled up.

For art, we curled paper around a pencil and taped it to a paper.  We are working on a paper collage that will hang on the wall.  This week is curly paper and next week is accordion folded paper.

In the Preschool class, one of our centers was to make clocks for the nursery rhyme - "Hickory Dickory Dock".  We'll use our clocks in another center later and then we'll be able to take them home.

Here's the Preschool class reviewing what we've learned:

Review time:

We had a birthday celebration :).

We are learning two new skits.  Here the children are pretending to be tortoises for "The Tortoise and the Hare." (I think Miss. Margene blurred her face out; I (Miss Esther S. didn't do that)) :)

Here they are pretending to be the fast Hare:

Here they are pretending to be the Hare falling asleep.

I try to post my blogs right after the week is over.  I have been trying to get ready for next school year and have not been able to work on the blogs until now.  My updated website for next school year is: http://www.frenchvalleykpreppreschool.com/index.htm
