Vv is for Vehicle

During the week of April 21-25, the letter of the week was Vv, the number was 24, and the theme was vehicles.  Each week, before the theme's books are read, the children get to talk about the theme.  After the children are finished sharing, the books are read.  Richard Scarry's book, Cars and Trucks and Things that Go, is a favorite among many children - boys and girls.

Some of the centers include: tracing large letters with cars, matching plastic egg halves with matching upper and lower case letters, and playing with trains.

For art, the children were able to freely paint.  We asked them what colors they want and told them to paint anything they like, like a person, or the sun, or a pet, anything.  It is amazing how far the children have come along in their development in art and imagination!

This was also a week when the children earned prizes for great behavior!  Good job my little ones!

Enjoy the photos!
